The Swan Inn

Come and visit the prettiest place in Cheshire!   Several times winner of ‘Best Kept’ and ‘Most Beautiful' Village, Marbury is one of this area's loveliest secrets.   With its leaning Norman church, two stunning Meres, and of course the famous Swan on the village green, Marbury is the epitome of traditional England.

The Old Town Hall Vaults

This homely, atmospheric pub in the centre of Whitchurch is the birthplace of Sir Edward German (1862-1936). Memorabilia and paintings of the composer (some by the landlady; a talented artist) adorn the walls.

Quality home cooked food (using local produce) is served throughout the day Monday to Saturday, starting with morning coffee at 10:00am. Regular meal deals, a special Senior Citizens' menu and a good range of hand-pulled beers, make eating out at The Old Town Hall Vaults a memorable experience.

On the A41 just north of Whitchurch, by  the Llangollen Canal, and right on the Sandstone Trail, the Horse and Jockey Inn at Grindley Brook provides quality eating out for all:
